Does my present representative payee have to sign anything?
No, when you meet with us for your initial intake you will have to sign a form indicating that you want the Bill Payer Program to become your representative payee.
Can I have my personal money deposited into my savings account?
Yes, if you have a legitimate savings account we will mail your weekly check to your account on Mondays.
How do I know if my check was sent out?
Personal checks are always mailed on Mondays. If for some reason you are worried that your check was not sent out you can always call and ask.
How long will it take for my check to get to my house?
We have no way of knowing how long it will take, postal service varies. Please be aware that your check may not come on the same day every week.
How can I see how my money is being spent?
All of our accounts are individualized on Quicken. We keep a record of every transaction that we make with your account. Upon your request we can send you a register so that you can see how you are spending your money.
Why do I have to wait until the second of the month for my weekly check to be sent out?
In order to keep our accounts in order we need verification from our bank that your money was deposited into our account. Citizens bank faxes us this information the following day.
* Please note that this rule also applies to SSA checks. Although your check is deposited into our account on the third of the month, we do not get verification from the bank until the following day.
What happens if I never receive my personal check?
If you have not received your personal check after one week, please call
us and we will check to see if it has been cashed. If after two weeks you
still have not received your check and it has not been cashed you may choose
to put a Stop Payment on the check. Please be aware that Citizen's bank charges
$20.00 for a Stop Payment and this amount will be deducted from your account.
