Activities Department

• Hale House is always looking for volunteers to socialize or do a one-on-one activity with our residents. As a volunteer, you could choose to lead a group activity of your own interest. Anything that is your interest or passion, we would love to share with you. Hale House invites individuals who are gifted in art, music, writing or drama to share their talents with our residents. In addition, Hale House residents enjoy engaging in discussions or creative projects with local students.       

Budget Management Program for Seniors        

• Hale Barnard Services is always looking for volunteers for our Budget Management Program to help an elder stay in their home. As a volunteer, you will meet one-on-one with an elderly client, work with them to create a financial budget they can stick to, and help them write their rent and/or utility checks. Since many of our clients are confined to their homes, as a volunteer you will also provide a social interaction to an elder. All of our volunteers are fully insured by AARP while they are working with a client. In only a few hours a month, you will make a wonderful difference in the life of an elder (1 year commitment requested).
