Hale House offers residential care, a wide range of activities, and community services.
Hale House provides private rooms, meals, and 24-hour care to 56 elderly men and women regardless of their ability to pay. Most of our residents have lived in Boston and continue to enjoy the amenities of the city. Our residents enjoy many different activities ranging from exercise programs to community centered social gatherings.
Hale Barnard Corporation
Hale Barnard Services for Older People provides residential and supportive services of exceptional quality for a diverse older population. Our residential programs offer an alternative to institutional care – a home when “home” is no longer possible. Our goal is to enhance all aspects of living in the later years by offering meaningful choices, social, intellectual and spiritual stimulation and by honoring individual worth in the collective environment.
Hale Barnard Services for Older People has a special affinity for Boston. Although non-sectarian, we are proud of our ties to the First and Second Church of Boston, to the legacy of Edward Everett Hale and to the rich history of our location in the heart of the city. The cultural diversity of the staff and the elders we serve reflects the changing diversity of the Boston area. This strengthens and enriches our organization. Our focus is on the elderly; we are committed to being involved with people of all ages, encouraging ties among generations.
Hale Barnard Services for Older People seeks to develop further our relations with our neighbors, and our alliances with groups of similar mission. These include educational, health care, cultural, business and human-service organizations. We look forward to opportunities for growth and change while continuing the stewardship of our resources and traditions. Hale Barnard takes pride in its ability to engage and enrich the lives of the elders we serve, their families and other caregivers: a partnership of vibrancy, community and hope.
